| | | amanita help svp. Found these whilst following a herd of roe deer, one was already broken. My apologies in advance but it was getting late so i used flash. 
the closest i can get is Amanita citrina Var Alba but these were around 4" high and 3" across the cap
any better ideas?

this is Amanita strobiliformis, a species which is drastically increasing since may be 10 years, most probably due to changing climatic conditions. Especially inside towns, in alleys and cemetries it has become a standard species in Germany.

| | | Re: amanita help svp. thanks again, i am close to the continent here and we do record some of warmer temperatures for the uk, so if is is going to become a frequent find i guess we will get it here more consistently. Strobiliformis i'll keep an eye out and one day maybe buy a decent camera to record with.
