| | | Please can you ID this fungi Hi all, new to the forum.
Is someone please able to identify this/these fungi that have appeared in our compost heap? I have been trawling the internet to find an answer but to no avail.
They only seem to have appeared in the past 3 weeks. The compost heap is in a relatively dark, shady corner of the garden.
Thanks in advance |

The photo's a bit blurry, but my best suggestion would be one of the Bolete's.
Possibly Red Cracking Bolete - Boletus chrysenteron.
If it is, the stem would have a generally pale-reddish colouration, and the underside of the cap would be deep yellow.
Regards,
Mike. |

As well as showing the top of the cap, try to take a close up photo showing the stem, and if possible, turn one of the fungi over and take a close up photo showing the underside of the cap as well.
