Quite a lot of large-ish fungi on my walk on Sunday and I'm presuming a lot of it was the same species??





Sadly, this was already 'broken'...but gave me a chance to photograph the gills

not all the same fungus: two fungi involved here I would say . . . most of the photographs are of the blusher Amanita rubescens

the fungus in the last two pictures is probably Suillus grevillei the larch bolete - were there larches about?

Sorry, I didn't make myself very clear did I?

The last two pics were of the same fungi, yes....but I knew they weren't the same species as all the others!

Yes, they were on a path that runs parallel to the Woodlands Valley, where there were Larches and also other pine trees.
