| | | Id help but with poor picture Sorry about the poor photo but it’s a text from my brother in law. He has a small wood behind his house that I usually stomp round every couple of months to see what I can find. I’m always on at him to keep a look out for any Mushrooms but for two years we’ve found nothing much until he sent me this picture text asking what I thought it was. I’ve had a look in my books and as I’ve only got the crappy picture to work with the nearest I can get to is that it is possibly a Blushing Wood Mushroom or a Shaggy Parasol. It looks a bit like a parasol on top but the dark Brown gills and thickish stem are really throwing me. I won’t be able to spore print it or give it a sniff for a couple of days but I was hoping some of you guys could give me your thoughts so I can at least sound like I know what I’m talking about.
Any help from this poor picture would be much appreciated.

Looks like they're Agaricus but would never guess a species from that pic
Are you up for another Cep trawl this autumn? |

| | | Re: Id help but with poor picture Most definelty, my mate wants to come along as to if thats alright, he lives in London so your site is safe. Will leave the wife behind so she doesn't want to sit down after an hour and a bit
When do you think they will be out?
What do young Parasols look like? The only one I've ever seen is the big old one you found near the railway line last year.
How are things with you anyway Nick? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
