| | | Fungi Identification Please I found this fungi, while out walking in the woods today. There were several oak and birch trees near where I found it. Could someone please identify it for me please? |

it is Boletus badius (Xerocomus badius), although the growth with oak or birch is somewhat unusual. May be there was also beech or spruce or pine?
The pores should be blueing immediately after you press your thumb on them.

P.S.: btw, the singular is fungus - fungi is plural ....
