| | | Bolete & Waxcap ID Help Please Found yesterday: -
No.1
At the edge of a mixed woodland. Although lots of larch needles in the shot, there were Oak, Birch, & Beech in the immediate vicinity.
One side very slug eaten.
Overall height about 150mm, cap diameter about 100mm.
Cap showing slight "cracking", stipe covered in brownish black scales.
No sign of bluing when bruised (pore area just went slightly damp/brownish)
I'm thinking Leccinum, but can't get beyond that.
No.2
Found in open grassy meadow.
height about 30mm, cap diameter about 12mm
Possibly Hygrocybe reidii?
Any ID thoughts, confirmation/other appreciated.
Regards,
Mike. |

I would say Leccinum scabrum.
As for the 'difficult' yellow waxcap I wouldn't dare guess with such little information.
