| | | Re: Amanita A. gemmata was my initial thought, but having a look, the veil remnants are a little grey in your specimens. Here's a couple I found last year;
Ice white veil remnants
Note the very loose volval bag that it sits in. In 99% of images seen of A. gemmata, the volval bag is loose like my specimen. Your specimen shows a basal bulb associated with the complex around A. rubescens.
Your specimen does indeed show a faint hint of pink where the stipe has been eaten. I don't think it's A. gemmata, but it's close and if it is, it's not typical
Was there any coniferous forest nearby? |

| | | Re: Amanita Hello,
I'm pretty sure that it is Amanita rubescens. The stipe bulb characters don't fit neither for A. gemmata nor for A. muscaria.
best regards,
Andreas

| | | Re: Amanita Hi,
no, it's not only the bulb. The stable and big ring doesn't fit gemmata, the colour doesn't fit gemmata nor muscaria, the consistence of the veil remnants on the cap don't fit those too and the colour also fits best Amanita rubescens, but neither gemmata nor muscaria.
best regards,
Andreas
