Help with ID would be most welcome. Found near oak under a hawthorn hedge. Standing 12cm high and 10 cm across the cap. Smell of aniseed upon cutting.
No significant colour change when cut.
Slightly bulbous base.
Any ideas and comments most welcome. Thanks.
