I think the moss could well be Atrichum undulatum

These two are both Suillus. To key these out you need to know whether they had a partial veil (showing up as a ring or ring zone on the stem) and what species of trees they were growing with (larch or pine). Working out which trees they were growing with can be difficult in mixed coniferous woodland.
I find them tricky, even with the specimens in my hand.
I can't tell from the photos whether these two collections had a partial veil, but it looks a bit like it from the photos, which might rule out S. bovinus for the first one. That said, I don't know what it is.
The second one has large pores. There are no signs of pine needles in the photos, but that doesn't mean there weren't pines nearby. The large cone in the front is a spruce cone, which doesn't help. I think there are also a few small larch cones in the shot. S. viscidus may therefore be a possibility.
Beyond that, I'd have to leave it to someone who knows these species better than I do. |

C | Yes, the moss is much easier. I'd concur with Atrichum undulatum. |

| | | Re: 10 fungi for identification Hi ManwithNoname, if it's any help they were growing in an old conifer plantation, The first "Suillus" was at the edge of the plantation next to a trail and the second was growing in very dim conditions about 50 yards into and under dense conifer growth.
