could anyone have a go at this one? Taken at Longshaw.Found on pine or beech  ( forgot to note - I was too keen to get to the sandwiches before the wife and kids ate them all  - and yes I got some  )

If thats right and I have no reason to doubt Andreas it is a Red Data List with very few records.

This has now been kindly identified by Mykonik:
..... as either Phellinus ferreus or Phellinus ferruginosus both of which often form these tiered basidiomes, especially on vertical substrates - but the only way they can be separated is microscopically and that is often difficult due to lack of spores!
