I found these right beauties today. They must have just been fresh up. Ok a bit of habitat details:

Martin Mere
Growing next to a dead tree which had no leaves on it so am not sure on ID. The bark was very smooth but not as much as beech. The tree wasn't ancient, just mature.

There were lots of small Hazels and Birches around as well in this Hedgerow.

I think these are Clorophyllum rhacodes, (was Macrolepiota rhacodes - another of the endless name changes

)
a quick test to tell if its rhacodes, is the flesh turns orange/red when cut, where the flesh of C.procera remains unchanged,
re your saying these are fresh up, i have been monitoring a group of 8 or 9 over a week or so, and they reached the stage yours are in by around the 6th day, and lasting around two days before starting to sag into oblivion,
