| | Grassy brackets? hi all,
The journey continues - I didnt realise brackets in grass/meadow existed!
Anyway, grateful for views on this - in rough grass today looks like a Phellodon spp maybe?
deep spores, white, clearly young/newly emerged, with a white cap rim.
Will try for smell and further detail tomorow - it was throwing it down today, so a bit rushed!
Cheers
Ken

| | | Re: Grassy brackets? hi Ken
it's Abortiporus biennis - the way that grass blade is growing through the fruitbody is classic; it'll be growing on some buried wood
cheers
Chris

| | | Re: Grassy brackets? Thanks guys,
I should be there again today, so I'll take a bit and check for redness when cut - according to Jordan its red there then.
And infrequent too............
Cheers
Ken
