| | | Lots of mushrooms The BBQ summer is turning out good for fungi. We went on a trip to Chobham Common today to hunt for mushrooms, except there were so many along the way we never made it there.
First couple here:
Clusters on a mossy stump:
Russula, I thought Emetica, but then we saw much redder ones later:

I don't do Russula - there has to be at least one group of fungi I don't get interested in

Your little purple one is Amethyst Deceiver - Laccaria amethystina
Your slime mould might be the fresh growths of a Postia or even Bjerkandera(I'm not 100%)
The one missing its stem might be Amanita rubuescens and so is the first one

The one missing its stem might be Amanita rubescens and so is the first one | Thanks. I didn't match it to the picture I had, mine aren't very umbrella shaped. They do have grooved rings and pinkish bruising, which I didn't check first of all...
Are there any other Amanita species with grooves on the upper side of the ring? |
