thanks, brian. | Do you need a stage micrometer? I still need to get hold of one but they're not cheap. £65 I think  The best bet is to borrow one to calibrate the eyepiece- I was supposed to be borrowing one from Neil Mahler (SFG) but we sort of got carried away with fungi so much on that foray that we forgot to even mention it. Hopefully i'll see him soon and give it a mention |

i probably need to just sit down and work it out properly, and then i may get
the correct results,
