| | 4 meadow fungi for help A wander about an acidic meadow on monday saw these 5 - only one, blackening wax cap is easy for me, so grateful for any steers on the others please!
None were particularly with smell.
All were small about 1 - 3 cm cap width.
So they are in individual shots with a couple of group shots of only4 - the group gills shot is rubbish, sorry.
1/ possible entoloma clypeatum? lightish brown spore print.
2/ possible entoloma vernum? very umbonate, light brown spore print.
3/ dont know this one - dark brown spore print.
4/ possible tubaris spp? - this one is NOT in the group shot.
Group shot of 1,2 3 in order, with the blackening wax cap in them too.
group gills shot as above.
And finally the blackening waxcap.
Thanks a lot - sorry for the length!
Ken

| | | Re: 4 meadow fungi for help You need a lot more information to be able to work out your Entolomas.
That said, I think E. vernum is unlikely for photo 2.
The most common grassland species looking like the specimens in photo 1 is E. sericeum, and in photo 2 is E. conferendum. But that's quite different from saying that's what these are. |

I agree wholly to all of the said!
Number 3 could be Agrocybe arvalis and no. 4 seems to be an old Galerina.
best regards,
Andreas

| | | Re: 4 meadow fungi for help Ah well.
Pretty much as expected, I thought it would be tough with insufficient detail, but lived in hope!
Without spore detail, E. conferendum does seem a god bet.
Thanks anyway everyone.
Cheers
Ken
