| | | Unknown finds I had a good day yesterday four types of Bolete an Entoloma serrulatum and an Agaricus subfloccosus but I did have trouble with some
The first is a medium sized Coprinus(or Coprinellus or Coprinopis etc ) growing on wood chip. It is too small for picaceus but I think at c5 cm to big for a common or garden lagopus.
The second a nice easy Agaricus It looks like A. bernardii but never having seen one before. It has the distinctive cracking of the cap
and it has a slightly fishy smell but that might just be down to its age and the flesh of the stipe turned pink on cutting. My main problem is that it has a fairly small ring and it was growing in a small woodland play area both of which are wrong for bernardii
Thoughts please.

Mal | Hi Mal
I'd still opt for C. Lagopus. The Agaricus could well be Agaricus bitorquis
John
edit where's the other ring on the agaricus
