Fuligo septica?

Found this on a log at Galleyhill today, think it looks most likely to be Fuligo septica. Unfortunately failed to check what the log was.

judging from the ones ive found this year , well over 50 different ones, i dont think they are restricted to any particular tree, in fact several have been on grass stems and other plants, most, however have been on, on near conifer stumps/logs,
i like the name used by Lancshire lad for this one, "Flowers Of Tan" much better than dog vomit one
