| | | Is this a Fuligo? I photographed this today in Inverness-shire, Scotland. In birchwoods and near a stump. I've only seen yellow ones before but I can't make out this one. There was an aged one adjacent which was black. When touched, it was very soft and my finger left a dark brown/black imprint.

| | | Re: Is this a Fuligo? if your picture was the same as the one posted by Morchella , then yes it is Fulgio, if it was not the same, try uploading your picture again for a better chance of an id,
most fungi books only show the yellow ones ,but there are different coloured ones apparantly,
