the colours look like cyanoxantha, but the whole fungus looks to breakable for this species. I don't have a concrete idea, but would think it is not cyanoxantha.

As you may or may not know the genus Russula is a notoriously difficult one to ID to species without resorting to microscopic features and the species is your pic is no exception. I can say however that Nick is way of base with R. cyanoxantha ( sorry Nick), I would say take a look at R. fragilis which is a rather variable species, thin fleshed, with greens and pinks in the cap colour, it often has a darker centre but not always.

| | | Re: Russula ID if possible? Small to medium. Out of memory i would say abaot 7cm tall and 6cm across the cap. I did not cut or pick him, just left him where he stood.
