| | more fungi ID please Two for help please everyone.
first is tiny, 1cm cap width, solitary in manured grassy area in the garden, but under mature oak. No smell noticed.
Past its best, only saw it today, wild guess - possibly mycena abramsii or aetites or rickenella swartzii?
This second one from yesterday in rough grassland/meadowland, trooping near a wild privet bush base. No appreciable smell.
Very white in all parts, pruinose velvety stem and about 2 - 4 cm cap width- very pretty too (yes I know that doesnt help!)
Nice finger shot too...........
Cheers
Ken

| | | Re: more fungi ID please Well the first is a little past best as you say mate, but it's not R. swartzii.
The second looks to be a nice clump of Collybia confluens with typical close stipe/pileus attachment and shallow gills.

Nick | Thanks Nick,
yep that first is pretty aged by now - and dried out! It does seem quite distinctive, so I had some hopes................
Terrific - that sounds a great call for the other - it does have a very tough shank, even Jordan gives it a common name, Clustered tough shank!
Cheers
Ken

| | | Re: more fungi ID please hi Ken
for the first one I wouldn't look further than Parasola
and I would say Nick is spot on with the other one - though I think we should be calling it Gymnopus confluens now . . . for reasons which Andreas has explained very well
cheers
Chris
