| | | Panaeolus sp ? for id a solitary specimen growing in grass, cap 30mm across - stipe 50mm
i think its a Panaeolus sp but not at all sure, it has that mottled look to the gills that Panaeolus have, which makes me think it is a Panaeolus sp,
any pointers in the right direction would be a great help,
the spore print appears a more reddish brown than the photo shows
apologies for the poor quality of the pic of the spores, im still wrestling with the scope, and its the best i can do as yet ) |

if the spores are ornamented (roughened) then it's Panaeolina foenisecii, which is what is rather resembles macroscopically
at 800 × 600pixels I suspect it might be difficult to demonstrate spore ornamentation
cheers
Chris

Chris | thanks for that Chris,
P.foenisecci was one of two i had narrowed it down to, the other being P.cinctulus which seems much less likely, as the spore print of this is reportedly black, where this one is more of a red tint to it,

| | | Re: Panaeolus sp ? for id still not a good shot by any means , but here is a larger view of the spores,
to my untrained eye they do not seem to have a roughened appearance,
or am i still not getting a correct view of them ?
