Found at the edge of woodland stream whilst foraying with FungiJohn.
On a twig collected from the waters edge of a small woodland stream, we had at first assumed the grey blobs to be fungal. A long exposure revealed what we thought might be eggs rather than fungi. 
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

They look like eggs to me but not got a clue what creatures.

I reckon eggs too, but if I had to say what their form reminds me of, it'd be a Ceratiomyxa sp.!  |

IF these are more eggs most likely from a mollusc, they look similar to some aquatic snail eggs. I dont think diptera produce jelly to coat eggs. I know eristalis and helophilus eggs dont look like these. | | |
