I am usually completely wrong when trying to identify fungus but I thought this may be one of the Ramarias. Found growing in the grass under an elderberry. 
Any suggestions?

Difficult to tell from the angle the photo was taken but the tips don't look pointed enough for Ramaria stricta. Other possibilities are flava and formosa which have similar colouring but the tips are blunter.

Gerry | I went out and took a photograph at a different angle. 
Does this help with the pointed/blunt tips?
BTW, while I was taking this photo I happened to look up into the tree and the dead leaves that I thought were caught on a branch were in fact Jew's Ear. I was thrilled. I have never seen this before and was very surprised how soft they were. I had expected them to be quite rigid.
Anyway, back to the Ramaria. Any further ideas?
