Identification of a Fungi Please

Hi, I just found this "big" Fungi in the bottom of my Smelting Pot I left it to sit outside forgot to put somthing over the top, and a bit of wood must of fell into it and natures done it's Job, so may I have an Identification please?





I whould say it's 23mm wide and 19mm hight



Edit: sorry didn't realize the light was reflecting of it, but you can sort of make out what it is, thanks for replying

hi and welcome to the forum

this fungus* is a Peziza a member of a large group called cup fungi within a larger group called ascomycetes

to take it any further I'm afraid you need a microscope

if you would like me to have a look at it, PM me and I'll let you know what to do next

*PS strictly speaking this is a fungus not a fungi - some people get very aerated about this

Hehe thanks, Yes I know I'm a bit new to fungus, I might aswell slice a bit of and pop it under the microscope be right back, thanks again
