| | | Turkeytail? Saw this a couple of weeks ago, then nipped back to take a photo this week. It's a bit old now but still has the colours I found interesting.
I did take a photo of the underside unfortunately it wasn't very good, but I did notice that it cream in colour had pores rather than gills. So I am wondering is this old turkeytail?
Thanks for anything you can give me. |

As you say, your fungus looks, erm, slightly past its sell by date  , and difficult to see any definite identifying features.
Turkeytail pores are generally described as whitish/yellowish/tawny in colour, so "cream colour" probably fits the bill.
I would think you are correct with Turkeytail, as it is the commonest of these small colour banded brackets.
