Hi ALL.
Just want to say HELLO. I just joined. This looks like a cool website.
I've recently got very keen on Birdwatching (thanks to a Kestrel I saw a few weeks ago and a brilliant book by one Simon Barnes called 'How to be a Bad Birdwatcher'), Treewatching (is that a word?) and Fungi. Spent two hours in my local woods today with the Digital Camera leafing through litter and probing the undergrowth. It's true what they say, though: the more you look, the more you see.
But I'm a total novice, really, to the world of Fungi. I was initially drawn to it when reading about some Fungi and the uttlerly bizarre names many of them have, such as Deceiver and Destroying Angel. I saw maybe six types of Fungi today so am going to upload the pics to my PC and have an identity parade and see which of the suspects can be pinned down.
Looking forward to spending time on this site.

A very nice intro falco. A warm welcome to you. There's loads of members on the site that are experts in all types of wildlife watching. You'll get to know them. FungiJohn will give you loads of support and encouragement-you'll love him, we all do! There's top birders with huge experience. First rate entomologists if you like six legged friends. Ace botanists. Everything you want. Me-I'm the friendly wild-woman with a bitof knowledge and an enormous sense of humour. Enjoy the site. You'll soon get addicted-we all are! ww
