| | | First Peziza (for me). After searching seemingly everywhere recently, I finally found my first Peziza.
I'm fairly confident that it's got all the hallmarks of Peziza granulosa (physical appearance, location found etc. etc.).
Would appreciate confirmation / other.
Regards
Mike. |

P. Domiciliana also looks close - but that is on old stone/brick etc and is more brown/red wine coloured inside the cup in my experience, so hurrah, well done!
Cheers
Ken

Ken | Hi Ken,
Yes, mine was on soil amongst rotting leaf litter, and definitely had "granules" on the outer surface. (I think P.domiciliana is smooth ).
Initially, I thought mine might be P.echinospora, but the colouring & location weren't right for that.
Regards

Mike. | Hi Mike,
yes domiciliana is smoother, but still has granules!
As Nick said, its a problem with these!
yours are very similar to some I find on woodchips too.
Cheers
Ken

Mike. | Absolutely right Mike - exactly the same as your photo, growing on both soil (trooping) and at a seperate site, wood chip.
I put them as granulosa probable, but realised there was, as Andreas says, no point in being certain!
Cheers
Ken
Sunnydale, might be P. Domiciliana - likes old mortar/brick/stone!
