| | | Todays finds While I am waiting for a yay or nay for my Heteromycophaga I will look for suggestions for the following finds.
I was in a mixed woodland today pine but also birch willow and oak  I came across this lot 
which looks like Pellinus punctatus but thats rare.
This one under the peeled back piece of bark on a birch
This looks like a slime mould on the cut end of a conifer 
It was about 6 inches across.
and finally
I think Skeletocutis amorpha

Not sure what you think it is  It was very thin probably only the thickness of the peeled back bark so not Dichomitus

If No 1 was on Oak, then Hapalopilus nidulans is a possibility.

with my niavity i squashed my finger into it thinking it was some kind of mammal salvia! only to find out later it was some sort of fungi! very different |

I doubt that it would have been Dichomitus campestris as it grows exclusively on Deciduous trees. There are many other cushions similar though... |
