| | | Finding Mushrooms In Lincoln / Lincolnshire Hello,
Im pretty new to the free food world and am really keen to start collecting some free fungi in Lincoln / Lincolnshire / Newark / Notts area.
Does anyone have any advice on where I can start? Anyone know any pleace close to me where I will find some tasty fungal goodies?
I would welcome any recomendations on places to go to find some.
Thanks in advance chaps.

MrG | Hi MrG and a warm welcome to WAB. Have a look here for locations in / around you. Reserves in Lincolnshire
Have a look at the site in full. The forays lead by my friend Ken Rowlands are well worth attending if you can.
Good luck - John |

| | | Re: Finding Mushrooms In Lincoln / Lincolnshire My response would be to go anywhere you like. Reserves are not the only places to see wildlife it is just that these are often the most recorded. everywhere you care to mention will hold Fungi. Try Footpahs through woods or country lanes You may be suprised at what you can find. The term for a person who only goes to reserves is known as a reservist. This may tickle your stick but you are better off exploring other sites too.
Good Luck.
Try the Norfolk Fungus study group & Cambridge study groups web sites they sometimes stray into Lincolnshire. Also go to the BMs web site & type in yourcounty to get a list of fungi recorded there.
