Mushroom ID (found on grassy path, Wisley gardens)

Any thoughts? This was one of two I saw on a lightly trodden path in Wisley gardens.






The stem is 4 cm long, the cap is a bit over 1cm diameter.

as you can see from the silence on your request, you have found one of those little brown mushrooms which are looking very similar one to another and which need the help of a microscope to be identified.
I have nevertheless a guess what it could be, but it is only a guess and without examination by microscope we will never know how near this guess is. It looks like Psathyrella prona in a quite dehydrated state. Sorry that I can't give you a common name to it. It surely has one, but I don't know it. May be Google helps you with it, as it is a common species which should be mentioned a lot of times.
