Unidentified Field Fungi

Came across these last week growing along side Yellow Fieldcaps, could be wrong but they don't look to be Bolbitius titubans, can anyone suggest an ID please, Caps 15mm dia, Stem ht.60mm growing in amongst grass on chalk downland.

Immature specimens of Stropharia semiglobata spring to mind. The thick cortina will go on to form the distinctive ring of the species. That said, it is a dung species.

I can see where you are coming from Nick but as you say the absence of dung or manure would seem to rule out Stropharia semiglobata.

I was thinking more along the lines of Agrocybe possibly Common Fieldcap - A.pediades.
