| | | Clumber & Sherwood Fungi IDs I would appreciate some help with these two.
The first I presume is an Agaricus of some sort. It was growing in manure under a grapevine in the greenhouse at Clumber Park. Sorry couldn't really get any closer to see any more details of gills etc. But maybe someone might be familiar with what grows at this location
The second was very small and growing under a log in Sherwood Forest. I think it may still be very much in the growing stage so may look a bit different when older?
Thanks for any help

The first I'm unsure of, but the second may well be the early stages of a Calocera species. |

| | | Re: Clumber & Sherwood Fungi IDs I think the second might be Calocera cornea - It looks very similar to these which I found early this year. (The out of focus upper margins on some of your specimens seem to have the beginnings of a yellow tinge).
Regards

John | It was on 10/4/09, I only saw the one but guess others may have appeared. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
