strong smelling fungi


Could do with some idea's on these found in parkland under cedar of lebanon, the
suprise was they smell really strong just like benzene bracket.

Clitocybe odora var alba smells strongly aniselike and has a red /brown umbo.
Clitocybe rivulosa is faintly sweet. (nomen dubium see C. dealbata)

Hello,

I think it is rather a Clitocybe from the fragrans-suaveolens complex. Clitocybe odora var. alba should be much stouter, with shorter and thicker stipe.
