| | | Unknown Lindrick Dale Fungi Whilst looking for Anemone Cups on Lindrick Dale Golf Course with Nettle Runner Les we came across these three other fungi.
This one was nearby growing on soil.
This one was growing on a buried log and we think it is a shield of some kind.
This one was growing on what looked like a mixture of soil and dung and is an peziza I believe, unfortunately I don't know which one.
Thanks in anticipation for your help.

First could be a Conocybe.
Second would be Pluteus, probably P. cervinus in my opinion.
Third is a Peziza as you say, but it's a genus dominated by microscopy, unless of course it's growing quite specifically on cow dung.

Dave | No 3. is Peziza vesiculosa with its characteristic small central opening when young and the torn edges where it has come apart and opened with maturity.

a bit spooky . . . . I was with fungal friends in the Anston Stones / Lindrick Dale area yesterday
we also found a section Pholiotina Conocybe like number 1 in the 'yew alley' at ASW; I would suspect Conocybe aporos at this time of year, but haven't checked it yet . . . . will report tomorrow
Chris

Nick | Cheers Nick.
Les did suspect the 2nd one was the Deer Shield - P. cervinus

Chris | That is spooky Chris, any other day and we might have been in ASW, it was only that Les wanted us to photograph the Anemone Cups that we ended up at Lindrick Golf Club |

| | | Re: Unknown Lindrick Dale Fungi I do believe it!!
with regard to number 1, this is the agaric fungus found in 'Yew Alley' at Anston Stones
I have arrowed the ring - it was scarcely in evidence and shows how careful you have to be when examining fungi - it would have been easy to remove this transient veil remnant by careless handling
you can see that the spores do not have a germ pore and as would be expected this is Conocybe aporos
your find is almost certainly the same I would say
regards
Chris

Next time we're in ASW we'll keep a look out for a set of guys crawling about in the undergrowth |
