| | | ID would be much appreciated Hi there,
sorry for the intrusion, but I would be enormously grateful if anyone could ID some mushrooms for me.
This year I seem to have an abundance of mushrooms growing on my lawn here in south Cheshire. The timing is particularly poor for me as my twin boys are just getting to the age where they can get out and enjoy the good whether on the lawn.
I'd like to ID these mushrooms to determine whther they are harmful. I pick as many of the mushrooms as I can, but I'll never get them all!
I've searched for a means of eradicating them, but the only solution I can find entails removing the lawn! Any other suggestions?
There seems to be more than one type present, though I guess that they may change appearance with age?
If anyone can find the time to take a look at my pics I'd be extremely grateful.
Best wishes,
Stu |

(would be a shame to get rid of any fungus altogether though. your lucky to have a productive lawn!!! educate the kids then you can all benefit maybe!) All the best! |

nice thought, but at 15 months they don't really respond too wel to reason!
Ron,
I understand that lawnmowing is a big no,no as it spreads the spores and makes the problem worse!
Anyone else have any thoughts.
Thanks,
Stu |

that was my first thought, although most are said to be of limited effectiveness. Thought I might try "armillatox", a soap based product ( Armillatox - The environmentally friendly herbicide, fungicide and insecticide). Even if it only provides a short term fix, at least it would remove the worry.
Any other thoughts on ID or management most welcome.
