I think this pic looks more like Turban Fungus but I am probably wrong. |

It does look a little like a cluster of something fungal. | I'm still (  gulp!) sticking to my theory . . . why is it so shiny? . . . it has holes in it rather than 'pits' as far as I can see, and there seems to be no differentiation between an 'upper' and a 'lower' surface, and nothing that resembles fungal tissue in those holes
I admit my first thought was Gyromitra, but on a second and third (etc.) look I'm not convinced - could Leifus send me a bit? if I'm wrong I'll happily hold my hands up
