Marcel Bon book delayed until 2011

I've just noticed that the book 'Mushrooms and Toadstools of Britain and North-West Europe' by Marcel Bon (edition 2) has been further delayed.

It is not expected to see the shelves until 2011

worth the wait I suspect - Smiths wouldnt put it up for preorder if it wasnt due though, surely, hopefully - need to keep our eyes on this!
I looked for Brian Spooners 'Fungi' in the new naturalist series yesterday - cheapest is about £60, yikes!

NHBS have changed their page to say it's due in 2011 (I wonder whether this is as a result of increased printing costs etc. - It seems to be delay after delay ).

Another one that is just as bad is the Harper Collins Fungi Guide by Stefan Buczacki & Christopher Shields - I had that on order from Smiths for several months, and was then told that they have no idea when it's actually going to be reprinted. (NHBS are still saying 2010 though).

Thre is also a new book by Paul Sterry, called "Collins Complete British Mushrooms & Toadstools". (380 pages, about £17.00). I understand that one is due to be published 3rd September this year.

I gave up on this new publication years ago. I still have the original and whilst in France last autumn I picked up a copy of the 'new version' albeit it French. To be honest if you have the original publication by Hodder & Staunton there is very little difference between the two, maybe a bit of extra text here and there, a few added species but very little. But if you have a handle on French or Spanish and are heading out to either country, you could pick up a copy well before 2011. You could probably even order it online. I do believe there is a French to English issue here, with Mr Bon.
