| | | Another Unknown For ID Help Please. Found yesterday on very wet ground. growing through moss but didn't appear to be attached to buried twigs etc. Cap size about 50mm diameter. Stipe height about 60-70mm.
To me, they appear vaguely similar to the Psathyrella sp. in another of yesterday's threads (but I'm probably way off).
Once again. any help towards ID much appreciated.
At the same site, and in the immediate vicinity of the above, I found a multitude of Scarlet Elf Cups ( Sarcoscypha austriaca) - Unfortunately most were past their best , but this will definitely be my No.1 Scarlet Elf Cup site next winter.
Regards

David | Well they certainly did have brittle stems - they just snapped like dry twigs - with no effort at all, when I was trying to uproot one. (I'll have a browse for your suggestion).
