Found today growing on soil amongst litter under [IFraxinus[/i] Ash.
have set up for spore drop, it's nice to be finding something.

Distinct possibility of Psathyrella spadiceogrisea - Spring Brittlestem I would think JP. The cap should have dried out quite pale (var. vernalis is pale to start with and the stipe is yellow in the middle)) and the spore print should be dark brown.

Psathyrella spadiceogrisea f. vernalis appears to be a synonym, no doubt attributed at one stage to finds of drier specimens.

Quite correct sir, the exclamation mark covering my ID until investigation.

Jordan's description of Psathyrella spadiceogrisea, includes gill edge
cystidia balloon shaped.
