I went out today between the showers and found lots of Ash trees, nothing under them but I wasn't looking for anything in particular  (honest) but I did find edibles and "real" mushroom. 
The edible a Phallus still in its egg stage 
and this very early Tricholoma?  
No distinctive smell.
Any suggestions

Could be Tricholoma, I did first think Melanoleuca but something pulls me away from that |

Nice picture of the cystidia and crystal encrustation, and isn't it satisfying to see something like that to clinch the id?
I was so busy looking at it I hadn't spotted you'd put the name underneath, and checked my keys and too came up with M cognata. Then I noticed you'd already got there .... and, what is good, we agree too!
