| | easy n tough fungi ? Here are two more from today - one easy, hopefully, one a tough call, I think!
First one hoof fungus ? On fallen old beech.
second one - no idea - very tiny, less than pinhead, on rotting oak or beech - appears to be a black cup on a sometimes branched stem, with I presume, white spores showing to the cup edge. Sorry for poor image. Could be a disc not a cup though - diatrype disciformis?
Thanks a lot
Ken

| | | Re: easy n tough fungi ? Hello Ken,
so as nobody wants to say seomthing to the 2nd one, here my thoughts which can be far away from what's it really ...
I'm quite certain that it is an annamorph, but not so sure of what. May be it is a Dermea anamorph? If you like to look in this direction, may be you find something similar.
best regards,
Andreas

| | | Re: easy n tough fungi ? Hi Andreas,
thanks for having a go at it! - its certainly not one I have seen before, so I will do some more research, including dermea spp anamorphs as you suggest.
Cheers again,
Ken
