| | Big pores on resupinate fungus... Sorry folks, it's another crusty one!
I thought this might not be so hard as it's got big pores... it was growing on a fallen or felled trunk of a deciduous tree (species unknown but the area has Beech, Ash, Hazel, Holly and the odd Oak) and the big honeycomb-like pores were clearly visible. Most of it was resupinate but there was a couple of small brackets developing: these were brown, as was the side of the fungus stuck to the bark when I peeled a bit off.
Any ideas, please?
Thanks!

Thanks a lot JP.
In my defence, Your Honour, the photo in Jordan really doesn't show much....

| | | Re: Big pores on resupinate fungus... Hallo,
Datronia mollis don't pleases me either for this fungus. The colour and the velvety appearance seems to contradict. But I don't have a better idea, although in the back corners of my brain something tells me that I should know this one ...
best regards,
Andreas
