these things are not always straightforward - but in this case quite definitely 'thirded' and the substrate (interesting to see it on such a slender twig) is definitely a softwood . . .

Thanks for that folks. I have found P. caesia on many occasions but I have never seen it in this thin and leathery form before. I will know for future.
