| | | Is this Agrocybe praecox? Found mid June last year, I think its Agrocybe praecox. Can anyone confirm. (It was growing amongst a cereal crop).
While I`m on Agrocybes; is there a difference between Agrocybe dura and Agrocybe molesta? Michael Jordan has them as 2 species but I seem to recall that there was a name change.
Cheers
Pete

or may be Agrocybe pediades s.l.. The fruitbody seems to have no ring and I have found A. pediades very often in fields and extensive grassland.
best regards,
Andreas

best regards,
Andreas | There is actually a ring remnant in the picture Andreas and I have another picture from the same group which shows a fairly substantial ring. Or as Leifus says; could it be A. molesta

| | | Re: Is this Agrocybe praecox? Hallo Pete,
I thought that ring like thing on the image would be a old piece of grass or something like that, it hadn't the look of a ring. Therefore the idea of pediades. If it has a ring, then only praecox or molesta is in the discussion, that's right.
best regards,
Andreas
