| | | Orangi fungi identification on birch Hi there,
I've had a look through various sources but can't identify this fungus (assuming that's what it is?). It was on a dying/dead birch in woodland, on the east side of the trunk, about 4-6cm across I think. Anyone any ideas please?
Thanks

| | | Re: Orangi fungi identification on birch It is a fungus indeed!
It's a young fruitbody of the species Phlebia radiata. A common species, but often overlooked. |

I seem to spend most of my time foraging and I have so many pics, but as you know , usually not very good.
But I think its good for the soul.
Seriously, we must get out as much as poss, but balance that with what the hell have I found, which for me is where WAB comes in so much - I still dont post most of what I find but its fun anyway. I know I will find out some day.
Cheers
Ken
