| | | Anamorph/Teleomorph of Dacrymyces stillatus? I think I am correct in identifying this as Dacrymyces stillatus, with both anamorph, and teleomorph being present, but would appreciate confirmation/other.
Regards
Mike.

I would agree, at least for Dacrymyces. And then stillatus is by far the most common species on "normal" substrate. The only other possibility would be very young stages of Tremella mesenterica, but I don't believe that.
best regards,
Andreas

For future reference in ID'ing similar fungi, would I expect young Tremella mesenterica to be as brightly orange as the anamorph of the Dacrymyces, or would it generally be paler yellowy?
Regards

| | | Re: Anamorph/Teleomorph of Dacrymyces stillatus? Hallo Mike,
I have not much experience with that, but at least when drying I would expect Tremella mesenterica or aurantia to be quite orange.
best regards,
Andreas
