Auricularia Question
Does jews ear discolour blackish when it matures? I found some fungi on a tree today that looked like jelly ear but were blackish

Tremella foliacea is black when dry but brownish when moist ..maybe a small group could be mistaken for Auricularia.

Hallo,

when they are old and especially when they dry, they become very dark, near to blakish. Look at the dried Muu-Err in your chinese food store ...
