| | | Slime mould ? Went to take a picture of an interesting looking mould when I noticed bits of it were waving around and generally moving about. Thought that maybe they were tiny insect larvae but when I processed the pics decided it must be a slime mould ?
Taken at 3:1 magnification.
Any ideas ?

| | | Re: Slime mould ? Hallo Brian,
to me the pictures looks like a moss covered by the plasmodium of a myxomycete.
best regards,
Andreas

Andreas | Thanks for the confirmation Andreas - didn't realise the movement in these could be so visibly fast.
