I don't know which I am most pleased about : a new fungus or that I got it right! Er.... I don't suppose it has a common English name, does it? *Hides*

The chance is really there, but without some specialist who can examine the fruitbody we will perhaps never know.
If you like to, I can ask in our german forum, there are some guys doing polypores. May be there is one who knows a definit answer.
best regards,
Andreas | Hallo,
there was just only one answer to my request in the forum at pilzepilze.de. The one (very good mycologists, specialist for Aphyllophorales and Boletales) wasn't sure about it, but meant that it could well be.
best regards,
Andreas

No need to hide Solus, as far as I know, [i][Rigidiporus ulmarius/I] has no common name.
