| | | Re: Strategy to protect the UK's fungi species I am intrigued by Dr Manley's observation about whether or not the fruit body appears because the fungi is healthy or under stress. Something I've considered before with other organisms such as cactus but never fungi and it makes an interesting debate.
Also good news that there is positive collaboration behind the scenes.

probably find they are not so different from human beings ... have children whatever the conditions, but when under stress tend to have a few more .... and some may be a bit like giant pandas, those are the ones that fruit only very rarely ...
Let's hope the announcement of the initiative isn't merely a positive spin put on an actual reduction in resources ...
